How does The Design Collective work?
We start with a short interview to understand your project, your stage, and your aesthetic preferences. From there, we match you with a vetted designer whose style and expertise align with your needs.
Why should I use The Design Collective instead of going directly to a designer?
We remove the risk. Every studio in our network is vetted for quality, professionalism, and creativity. You don’t have to guess if a designer is the right fit—we’ll ensure you’re matched with someone aligned to your project and aesthetic.
What types of projects do you help with?
We work across residential homes, multi-residential developments, commercial workplaces, hospitality, and retail projects.
What happens if I’m not happy with my designer?
We check in with you mid-project and again at the end of the process. This ensures everything is on track and reflects the standards of The Design Collective. If concerns arise, we’ll work with you to find solutions.
Is there a cost for using The Design Collective?
Your initial consultation with us is complimentary. Fees and arrangements for design services are set by the studio we match you with, and we’ll ensure you understand those before starting.
For Studios
Can any studio apply to join?
The Design Collective is invitation-only. We accept a small number of studios whose work, aesthetic, and ethos align with our values. If you’d like to be considered, you can submit your studio for review.
What’s the vetting process?
We review your portfolio, aesthetic, and online presence. If your work aligns, we’ll conduct an interview to discuss your practice. Client feedback is also collected mid- and end-project to ensure outcomes reflect our standards.
What’s the benefit of joining the collective?
You’ll be connected with clients who are pre-qualified and matched to your aesthetic. We remove the friction of “hit-and-miss” enquiries, giving you better-fit projects and clients who value design.
Do you charge studios to join?
There is no fee to apply. If accepted, you’ll gain access to qualified client leads through our collective. Further commercial terms will be discussed individually with accepted studios.
